Sri Lanka, March 30 -- The Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre has issued a warm weather advisory at 4:00 p.m. today (30), valid for March 31, 2025.

The advisory covers the Northern, North-Central, Western, North-Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces, as well as Trincomalee and Batticaloa districts, warning that the heat index may reach the 'Caution' level.

Authorities urge the public to take precautions, including staying hydrated, limiting strenuous outdoor activities, and wearing light-colored clothing. Employers are advised to provide breaks and shade for workers, while families should check on the elderly and avoid leaving children unattended in vehicles.
