Sri Lanka, July 12 -- The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna said that although the No-Confidence Motion they submitted against the government was defeated they will continue to take action regarding the government which is against the people.

The No-Confidence Motion they presented was defeated by 27 votes in Parliament yesterday and 119 voted against it while 92 voted in favour of it.

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party as well as the Joint Opposition and the JVP voted in favour of the No-Confidence Motion.

The Tamil National Alliance together with the government voted against the No-Confidence Motion.
