Sri Lanka, Jan. 10 -- Traffic patterns for vehicles entering and leaving Colombo are being redirected to facilitate construction work on the Kadawatha System Interchange and a 500-meter stretch toward Mirigama.

Motorists can utilise the highway access road from the Kadawatha town traffic light intersection to the Eldeniya traffic light intersection as a substitute path.

Police announced this measure to manage the flow while one lane of the Colombo-Kandy main road remains closed in the Bandarawatta-Puwakpitiya area.

This closure, required for the ongoing development of the Kadawatha-Mirigama expressway interchange, will persist until March 15 of this year.
