Sri Lanka, July 12 -- A boat carrying local tourists to Delft Island in Jaffna has been involved in an accident. All 14 individuals on board, including 12 tourists and two crew members, were successfully rescued by security forces.

Our correspondent reports that a long-distance boat named "Sabarish," travelling nearby, spotted a white flag being displayed from the distressed tourist boat. The crew of the "Sabarish" quickly responded, safely transferring all passengers from the damaged vessel to their boat.

Subsequently, a Navy boat arrived at the scene and took the rescued passengers aboard.
