Sri Lanka, Dec. 29 -- Staff at the Airport and Aviation Services Company staged a demonstration within the airport premises today (29) to protest the non-payment of their expected bonuses.

Around 50 employees representing several unions, including the Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya, Progressive Workers' Union, Sri Lanka Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya, and Podujana Pragathishili Sevaka Sangamaya, joined the protest.

Workers from the Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya of SriLankan Airlines also participated.

The demonstrators expressed frustration over the decision to withhold financial incentives they claim are due to them.
