Sri Lanka, Sept. 14 -- A 54-year-old staff member of Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with a large quantity of smuggled gold.
The suspect was apprehended at the Staff Exit with 5.9 kilograms of 24-carat gold biscuits, valued at over 210 million rupees.
The gold was found concealed in his socks.
