Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- Hemal Ranasinghe faced arrest today following allegations of assaulting an individual.

The actor surrendered to the Wellawatte Police earlier today, after which officers officially took him into custody. Authorities initiated the arrest to proceed with investigations into the reported physical altercation.
