Sri Lanka, Nov. 11 -- The Meteorology Department said that there is a high risk of thundershowers occurring after 1.00 pm today.

The Department said that rain or thundershowers could be experienced in the Southern and Western provinces and the coastal areas of Puttalam District during the morning.

Heavy rains could occur especially in the Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva Provinces as well as in some areas of the districts of Galle, Matara and Kalutara. The rains could be between 75-100 mm and in the North-western province and the districts of Anuradhapura, Colombo, Gampaha and Vavuniya heavy rains could be experienced.
