Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- The Anamaduwa Police today (October 16) stated that they will report facts to the court regarding a primary school principal near Anamaduwa who allegedly assaulted a girl with a wooden slat for being absent from school for one day.
The victim is a 17-year-old girl from a primary school, a resident in Anamaduwa.
The girl's parents lodged a complaint with the Anamaduwa Police, stating that the principal became angry because the girl had not attended school the previous day.
He allegedly took a nearby wooden slat and struck her several times.
The Police said that following the complaint, they would report the facts regarding the principal to the Anamaduwa court and proceed with further investigations.
