Sri Lanka, June 12 -- Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasuriya has announced that 779 highly dangerous locations prone to road collisions have been identified across Sri Lanka.

Speaking at a press conference in Colombo yesterday, he stated that responsible authorities, including the Road Development Authority, have been informed about these collision hotspots.

Furthermore, the acting IGP mentioned that a request has been made to authorities to withdraw old driving licenses issued before 2009.
