Sri Lanka, Feb. 7 -- Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath told Parliament today that 59 Sri Lankans recruited into the Russian military have died as of January 20.

Responding to a question by MP S. Sridharan, the minister stated that 554 Sri Lankans are currently serving in the Russian military, and there is no confirmation that any of them were forcibly recruited.
