Sri Lanka, May 27 -- The leader of the National Freedom Front (NFF), Wimal Weerawansa, has claimed that the Presidential Secretariat has issued a list of 40 politicians to be arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

Speaking last night (26), on the Hiru TV political programme "Salakuna," he stated that the list includes names of politicians from both the Rajapaksa and Ranil Wickremesinghe governments.

Weerawansa further alleged that a director of the Bribery Commission regularly visits the Presidential Secretariat to seek advice on the action to be taken regarding this list.

He also revealed that the list was prepared following the results of the recent local government elections.
