Sri Lanka, May 15 -- Police recovered 40 rounds of 9mm ammunition from a hotel in Sigiriya yesterday (14), following a complaint made by the hotel manager.

The bullets were found neatly packed in a small box which had been placed inside a cupboard in one of the hotel rooms, police said.

Initial investigations suggest that the ammunition may have been brought in and abandoned by an unknown individual.
