Sri Lanka, Sept. 13 -- The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has released the school calendar for 2026 for Sinhala and Tamil schools.

The first phase of the first term will begin on January 1 and run until February 13.

The holiday for this phase will be from February 14 until March 3.

The second phase of the first term will then start on March 3 and end on April 10, with a holiday from April 11 to 19.

The second school term is scheduled from April 20 to July 24.

The third term will also be divided into two phases.

The first phase will begin on July 27 and conclude on August 7.
