Sri Lanka, Dec. 5 -- The Appropriation Bill for the year 2026 was passed by Parliament today (December 5) with a majority of 157 votes at its third reading.

The vote on the third reading was held around 7:30 PM today and 158 votes were cast in favour of the budget while one vote was cast against it.

Two Members of Parliament abstained from voting.
