Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- A 17-year-old girl has died following a serious road crash that occurred on the Alawwa-Ambepussa road in the Wariyagoda area, within the Warakapola Police Division.

The crash occurred yesterday evening (October 15) when an Army cab collided with a motorbike.

Police reported that the cab driver, the motorbike rider, and two pillion riders-one male and one female-were seriously injured and admitted to the Warakapola Hospital.

One of the female pillion riders was pronounced dead shortly after admission.

Police investigations revealed that three people were travelling on the motorbike at the time of the collision.
