Sri Lanka, April 14 -- With the local government elections scheduled for the 6th of next month, police have received a total of 159 complaints related to election law violations.
According to the Police Media Division, the reported incidents are 32 criminal complaints, while the remaining 127 involve various breaches of election regulations.
Law enforcement authorities have arrested 15 candidates and 52 of their supporters in connection with the reported violations.
Additionally, 12 vehicles have been seized as part of ongoing investigations.
