Sri Lanka, April 18 -- The Election Commission reports that it has received 1,490 election-related complaints so far concerning the upcoming local government polls.

Of these, nine are related to acts of violence, 1,388 are for legal violations, and 93 are categorised as other complaints.

In the meantime, postal voting dates for the upcoming local government elections have been revised.

Voting, which was initially scheduled for April 22 and 23, has been postponed to April 24 and 25, according to the Election Commission.

However, the other two previously designated postal voting dates, April 28 and 29, will remain unchanged.
