Sri Lanka, Jan. 26 -- "Rebuilding Sri Lanka Fund receives over Rs. 8.5bn in cash, Rs. 23bn in aid" The Rebuilding Sri Lanka Fund has received more than Rs. 8.5 billion in financial donations and in-kind assistance valued at over Rs. 23 billion from around the world to support post-disaster reconstruction and relief efforts, Treasury Secretary Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma disclosed via a video release.
Contributions have flowed in from Sri Lanka and 47 countries, with total financial assistance to date exceeding Rs. 8.5 billion, including foreign currency inflows of approximately USD 9.49 million.
