Sri Lanka, July 9 -- It is reported that Manudinu Padmasiri Perera, also known as "Kehelbaddara Padme", who is accused of several murders, has been arrested by the Malaysian police.

The murder of Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatne, alias "Ganemulla Sanjeewa" is also alleged to have been orchestrated by him.

Along with him, another alleged criminal gang member identified as "Commando Salintha" has also reportedly been apprehended.

"Kehelbaddara Padme" is said to have entered Malaysia under a different name, with Sri Lankan police providing intelligence on his whereabouts.

He fled to Dubai after his father was shot dead in 2018.

Both "Ganemulla Sanjeewa" and Saman Rohitha Perera alias "Pas Podda" had been charged with his father's murder.
