Sri Lanka, Dec. 6 -- 'Hiru Sahana Yathra' continues for eighth consecutive day

"Hiru Sahana Yathra', disaster relief operation is active today (06) for the eighth consecutive day.

The distribution of essential food items to those most severely affected by the disaster continued yesterday, undeterred by the intermittent sun and rain in those areas.

The initiative operates based on a noble concept by the Chairman of the Hiru Media Network, Rayynor Silva.

Steps are currently being taken swiftly to provide essential food supplies to the affected.
