Sri Lanka, July 15 -- The evidence hearing in the case against notorious drug trafficker Nadun Chinthaka, also known as "Harak Kata", and other defendants began today (15) at the Colombo High Court.

They face charges related to a robbery and break-in at a house in Meethotamulla.

"Harak Kata", who is currently held at the Tangalle Prison, was brought to the High Court under tight security for the trial before Colombo High Court Judge Lanka Jayaratne.

The prosecution's evidence was recorded, and the Magistrate adjourned the hearing until September 1.
