Sri Lanka, Dec. 6 -- The Ministry of Industries and Enterprise Development stated that the number of production and export factories damaged by Cyclone "Ditwah" has increased to 416.
To support the recovery process, the Ministry has proposed to immediately provide an amount equivalent to 25% of the total damage sustained by the affected factories.
The Ministry has allocated Rs.3 billion for this purpose, emphasising that this assistance will be provided on a non-repayable grant basis.
Steps are being taken to expedite the release of these funds to rebuild the industries.
