India, Oct. 4 -- The Zubeen Garg death case has taken a drastic turn, with arrested bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami alleging that the singer was "poisoned" in Singapore and did not die of drowning as previously believed.

According to documents cited in a PTI report, Goswami alleged that Garg was poisoned by his manager Siddharth Sharma and festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta in Singapore.

The NorthEast India Festival organiser, Garg's manager and two band members - Goswami and Amritprabha Mahanta - have been arrested in the case and sent to 14 days of police remand.
