New Delhi, Oct. 10 -- This September was the third-warmest September globally, with an average surface air temperature of 16.11degC, 0.6degC above the 1991-2020 average for September, Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) said on Thursday. The month was 1.47degC warmer than pre-industrial levels or the average for the 1850-1900 period. The 12-month average temperature from October 2024 to September 2025 was 0.63degC above the 1991-2020 average, and 1.51degC above the pre-industrial level, C3S said. P17
