Women's ODI WC: India to play Pak on Oct 5 in Colombo
New Delhi, June 17 -- India's ICC Women's Cricket World Cup match against Pakistan will be held at a neutral venue - the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on October 5 - the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Monday.
The decision around this fixture comes in light of the 'hybrid model' that India and Pakistan had agreed upon before the Champions Trophy in December which stemmed from the fact that India will not travel to Pakistan for cricket matches.
According to the agreement, during the 2024-2027 event cycle, all matches involving India in an event hosted in Pakistan will be played at a neutral venue, and in return all matches involving Pakistan in an event hosted by India will also be played at a neutral venue.
