JODHPUR, May 12 -- The Rajasthan high court has upheld the verdicts of a trial and appellate court, ruling that a divorced woman is entitled to relief under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act (PWDV Act), provided the allegations of abuse pertain to the period when she was in a domestic relationship with her husband. The court dismissed a revision petition filed by a man challenging the maintenance awarded by the trial and appellate courts.
