New Delhi, April 24 -- A 27-year-old woman was found dead with burn and stab injuries at a house in Patparganj in east Delhi on Wednesday, police said. A case of murder was registered, and police teams were formed to ascertain the sequence of events leading to the crime. The woman was identified by her first name Priyanka.
DCP (east) Abhishek Dhania said police received a call about a woman who was charred and smoke coming out of a house in Patparganj. Police reached there and found the charred body of the woman on the floor.
The body was sent to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where doctors found four stab wounds on her body. She was married to a man identified as Arun, said the DCP. Further probe in the case is underway, he said.htc
