Greater Noida, Feb. 21 -- A 35-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday after a CCTV footage of her allegedly assaulting and dragging a 10-year-old boy out of a lift in a Greater Noida West high-rise, was widely shared on social media police said.
The incident happened on Wednesday at 5.30pm, when the minor, a resident of F block, was returning from tuitions.
In the one-minute CCTV footage, the frightened child is seen pleading with the woman with folded hands while she stands with her pet dog. Moments later, she drags the boy out of the lift and assaults him, police said. When the boy re-enters the lift, he appeared to be trembling in fear, they added.
The woman lives with three pet dogs, police said.
