Shillong, June 27 -- Police in Meghalaya's West Garo Hills arrested a woman, her lover, and her two brothers, for the alleged murder of the woman's husband Pirot R Marak, officials said on Thursday. The arrested accused - Nennen R Marak, her lover Reknan K Sangma (41), and her siblings Sengba R Marak and Lepson R Marak - were taken into custody on Tuesday. Police said the case came to light when Pirot's brother Oman Marak filed a complaint on May 7, expressing suspicion over his brother's sudden death and hurried burial. A case was registered under relevant BNS sections. Pirot was found dead on April 11 and the arrests were made after autopsy reports confirmed suspicious injuries, police said.
