India, March 26 -- A woman and her 11-year-old grandson were injured in a crude bomb-explosion near Berhampore town in West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Wednesday morning.

A relative of the injured persons told the media that the boy, while playing in a field adjacent to their house, found a bag and brought it home out of curiosity. When the bag was opened family members were shocked to see a crude bomb inside it and asked the boy to dump the bag where he had found it. The boy's grandmother Anwara Bibi, also went with him. "As soon as they stepped out of the house, the bomb exploded, injuring the two. They were rushed to the Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital by local residents," the relative told media persons.
