Dharamshala, July 19 -- Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Friday, terming the state government's efforts to open roads in disaster-hit regions "inadequate", expressed worry over the fact that the roads are still damaged and the apple season is about to begin.

"Transporting the produce from the orchards that survived the disaster has become a major challenge," he said.

Jai Ram said that to take the produce to the market, not only the main roads but also the link roads will have to be opened on time.
