India, July 4 -- Boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, who fought Jake Paul at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on June 28, has been arrested by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, The Department of Homeland Security announced on Thursday. Chavez Jr, 39, was arrested on July 2 over an active warrant against him in Mexico related to his alleged involvement in organized crime and arms trafficking.
"He is now being processed for expedited removal from the United States," the Homeland Security's statement on X read. "This Sinaloa Cartel affiliate has an active arrest warrant in Mexico for his involvement in organized crime and trafficking firearms, ammunitions and explosives."
