India, April 15 -- Karmelo Anthony, the 17-year-old Texas teen accused of fatally stabbing Frisco track star Austin Metcalf, was released from jail on Monday after his bond was dropped from $1 million to $250,000, Fox Dallas Ft. Worth reported. As part of his release, Anthony is under house arrest with an ankle monitor and can only leave his home with the judge's permission.

Following his release, Anthony's defense attorney, Mike Howard, suggested that the teen would claim self-defense in his upcoming trial.
