India, June 14 -- Vance Luther Boelter has allegedly been identified as the suspect in the 'targeted' shootings of Minnesota lawmakers Melissa Hortman and John Hoffman, according to journalists Karol Markowicz and Julio Rosas, who cited police sources in posts on X. However, authorities have not yet officially confirmed the suspect's identity, and the Hindustan Times cannot independently verify these claims.

According to Rosas, Boelter was appointed to the Governor's Workforce Development Board in 2019 by Governor Tim Walz and previously served on the Governor's Workforce Development Council, appointed in 2016 by then-Governor Mark Dayton.
