India, Feb. 2 -- Authorities have identified Kevin Andrews, 35, as the suspect in a shooting that killed Gwinnett County Police Officer Pradeep Tamang, 25, and seriously injured Cpl. David Reed early Sunday morning, according to WRDW/WAGT.

Police said the officers were responding to a reported fraud call at a hotel on E. Park Place Boulevard in Stone Mountain around 7:30 a.m. local time when they were shot inside a room believed to have been rented fraudulently.

Gwinnett County Police Chief JD McClure said the officers were invited into the room and were fired upon in what he described as an unprovoked attack. Both officers returned fire, and Andrews was also injured. All three were taken to a hospital; Tamang later died from his injuri...
