India, March 10 -- BJP MP Brijendra Singh on Sunday resigned from the primary membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He attributed his decision to "compelling" political reasons.

"I have resigned from the primary membership of BJP, due to compelling political reasons. I extend gratitude to the party, National President Sh. JP Nadda, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, & Sh Amit Shah for giving me the opportunity to serve as the Member of Parliament for Hisar," he wrote on X.

Brijendra Singh is a member of parliament from Haryana's Hisar. He is also a member of the Public Accounts Committee (India) and Standing Committee on Defence (India).
