India, March 28 -- The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has provided data on H-1B visa approvals for the year 2024 and revealed which companies bagged the most.

USCIS counts 'Approved beneficiaries' for H-1B approvals, which count the number of unique individuals authorized to work in the program by the employer's petition. There are two categories of approvals: 'initial employment' (new H-1B workers) or 'continued employment'.

Indian professionals continue to benefit the most from the H-1B program. In 2024, Indian-origin tech companies accounted for almost one-fifth of all the H-1B visas approved.
