India, Oct. 20 -- On Sunday, the ongoing government shutdown in the United States entered its 20th day, with no end in sight, after the Senate failed to pass a measure for temporary funding on an October 16, Thursday vote - the 10th, so far. The shutdown is unlikely to end soon, but the US Senate will be voting on it again on Monday, October 20, when session resumes.
In the last vote on the government shutdown, the GOP and the Democratic Senators continued to remain in a deadlock. The key disagreement has been the inclusion of healthcare tax subsidies that was hitherto a part of the government spending bill but was not included in Trump's 'Big Beautiful' spending bill.-
