India, Sept. 28 -- Skylar Thompson, a quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was robbed and attacked in Dublin, Ireland, ahead of Pittsburgh's Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He was assaulted while travelling to Dublin for Sunday's National Football League (NFL) game at Croke Park.

The incident resulted in minor injuries for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson. According to source, he did not need hospital care, The Irish Times reported.

Although he is on the team, Thompson is not anticipated to participate. He is now on the reserve team due to a hamstring injury on September 10.

As the NFL is expanding internationally, the Steelers will meet the Minnesota Vikings in Croke Park on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
