RANCHI, Feb. 19 -- The Jharkhand government on Tuesday appointed senior IAS officer Pooja Singhal as secretary of the information technology and e-governance department besides giving additional charge of CEO, Jharkhand Communications Ltd, officials said.
Singhal, who is facing money laundering charges was awaiting posting since her suspension was revoked by the state government on January 23, weeks after she secured bail from PMLA court on December 7. Appointment of Singhal comes a day after the PMLA court reserved its order on an ED plea seeking direction to the state government not to give Singhal any posting in the state government.
