Wankhede's plea to expunge APAR remarks rejected
New Delhi, Nov. 25 -- The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has rejected a plea by former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officer Sameer Wankhede to expunge "adverse" remarks from his Annual Performance Appraisal Report (APAR), and upgrade his performance ratings for the period between July 29, 2021, and January 3, 2022.
The adverse comments and downgraded ratings pertain to the period when Wankhede, then the NCB Mumbai zonal director, led the controversial raid on the Cordelia cruise ship involving actor Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan. NCB later gave Aryan Khan a clean chit in the case.
