India, April 6 -- Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, two stalwarts of the cricketing world, continue to remain the backbone of Indian cricket as the recent Champions Trophy triumph put the duo once again on the forefront. Kohli and Rohit started their international career almost at the same - a year gap - and, over the years, proved themselves to become the word beaters across the formats. Rohit made his international debut in 2007, while Kohli joined the Men in Blue a year later in 2008.
From 2014 to 2023, the duo were at their prime but were still eluded from the ICC titles. However, in the last couple of years, the tide turned in their favour as they won back-to-back ICC titles - T20 World Cup 2024 and Champions Trophy 2025.
