India, Dec. 6 -- A gra-born Deepti Sharma played her first senior domestic season at the age of 16, for Uttar Pradesh, in the 2014-15 season. The versatile all-rounder found her biggest supporter in her brother Sumit, once an aspiring cricketer, who invested his time and resources in her training instead. A solid all-format player who made her India debut in 2014, Sharma has become a nearly indispensable player for India. She rose to prominence as a reliable offspinner, then found her place in the national team as a lower-middle order batter.
