India, Jan. 3 -- Venezuela rejected "military aggression" by the United States, the Venezuelan government said in a statement shortly after the capital, Caracas, was rocked by explosions in the early hours of Saturday.
"The goal of the US attack is to take possession of Venezuelan oil and minerals," it said, according to Reuters.
President Nicolas Maduro has declared a national emergency in the country, the government said.
