India, March 20 -- The court of chief justice of the Supreme Court of the United States will hear the plea by 26/11 Mumbai attacks co-conspirator Tahawwur Rana seeking an emergency stay on his extradition to India on April 4, people familiar with the development said on Wednesday. Officials said the process is expected to delay Rana's extradition to India. The US Supreme Court on January 21 rejected Rana's plea against extradition to India and his surrender to NIA was approved by Donald Trump during PM Narendra Modi's trip to Washington last month.
