India, Jan. 8 -- The US Embassy in India issued a stark warning for those seeking B1/B2 visitor visas for the United States, saying that a person visiting the country must learn what they "are and are not allowed to do" while travelling.
This comes a day after the embassy issued a similar warning for student visa holders. In an animated video shared on X, it said that consular officers may deny an application on certain grounds.
"During your visa interview, if the consular officer believes you do not intend to follow the rules for a visitor visa, he or she may deny your application," the embassy said in the video.
The video also stated that it was the responsibility of the person getting the B1/B2 visitor visa to use it "correctly".
