Lucknow, March 29 -- : Muslims bade farewell to Ramzan as they offered Alvida Juma (last Friday of the holy month) prayers here in Lucknow and elsewhere. Many namazis wore black armbands to register their protest against the proposed Waqf Amendment Bill. The call for protest was given by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). The prayers were offered outside prominent mosques amidst tight security arrangements.

International Quds Day was also observed after the Alvida Juma prayers outside Asafi Imambada as a mark of protest against atrocities inflicted by Israel on Palestine. International Quds Day is an annual event held on the last Friday of the Ramzan month to express solidarity for the Palestine cause.
