Lucknow, Feb. 13 -- Samajwadi Party lawmakers staged a walkout from the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Thursday citing "failure" of the state government to improve law and order and increase in the number of police encounters in various districts.
Moving adjournment motion in the assembly over the recent death of four Dalit children in Prayagraj, SP MLA Ragini Sonkar alleged that without conducting a thorough probe, police concluded in their report that the children died due to drowning in a pond. She also alleged that the recent police encounter involving Pappu Sonkar and Arvind Sonkar was fake.
