HYDERABAD, March 19 -- A Dalit leader of the Telangana Congress on Sunday set fire to party flags, posters, banners and other campaign material worth Rs 15 lakh, before announcing his resignation from the party. Manne Krishank, a research scholar in mass communications from Osmania University, was protesting against the party's denial to allot him a ticket to contest Lok Sabha elections from Peddapalli constituency. On Monday, Krishank met Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president and joined the ruling party. "I was assured of party ticket from Peddapalli, which has been reserved for Scheduled Castes persons. I spent money in procuring campaign material. But, the party has nominated A Chandrasekhar," he said....
